Notice of Virtual Public Hearing for the City of Tylers Program Year 2021 Annual Action Plan
In accordance with the City of Tylers Citizen Participation Plan and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) grants, the City of Tyler will have a virtual public hearing on March 24, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. due to guidance from the Center for Disease Control, and guidance from the North East Texas Public Health District (NET HEALTH), this hearing will be held virtually. At this hearing, the following will be discussed and presented to the public: I. Information regarding housing and community needs II. The amount of CDBG and HOME assistance the City expects to receive, including anticipated program income III. The range of activities that may be undertaken with CDBG and HOME funds IV. The estimated amount of CDBG and HOME funds that will be utilized to benefit low and moderate income persons V. The Citys policy on minimizing displacement of any person VI. The types and levels of assistance available to persons displaced by the use of CDBG funds VII. Potential geographic areas of the City in which to utilize CDBG and HOME funds VIII. Potential projects to utilize CDBG and HOME funds During each of the above items, citizens will be able to engage City staff and provide feedback and recommendations. Although not all citizen comments will be accepted, City staff will consider and respond to all comments.
